Izzy Lee
Izzy LEE (South Korea) is a visual artist working across video, sculpture and installation, based between Seoul and Amsterdam. Her practice centres on recurring “female alien” figures that inhabit imagined spaces at the margins of society. Drawing on feminist science fiction and notions of otherness, her work explores displacement, identity, and the relationship between internal experience and external environments. Through glitch-like and liminal visual spaces, Lee examines psychogeographical tensions between belonging and estrangement. She studied VAV–Moving Image at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and has presented her work in exhibition and festival contexts in South Korea, including solo and curated programmes focused on new media and moving image.
