Halima Lucas

Halima LUCAS (USA) is a Los Angeles–based writer and director. Her work explores themes of childhood, social inequality and resilience. Her short film Amelia’s Closet (2016), a coming-of-age story about school bullying and self-discovery, was screened at numerous festivals. In television, she earned an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for an Animated Children’s or Young Teen Program for her work on Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur (2023).
