Hachimiya Ahamada

Filmmaker Hachimiya AHAMADA (1976, Comoros) studied at INSAS in Belgium. Ahamada builds universes between fiction and observations of reality, creating narratives that deepen her relationship to her Comorian roots. Her first short film Ylang Ylang Residence (2008) was shown at several international festivals such as the International Critics’ Week at Cannes Film Festival 2008, Arab Film Festival Oran and Journées Cinématographiques de Carthage Festival Tunis. Zanatany, L’empreinte des linceuls esseulés (2024) is her second short film.
