Gonzalo Suárez
Gonzalo SUÁREZ (1934, Spain) studied French Philology and Art, and after graduating started work as a journalist and authored his first book, De cuerpo presente. In 1969 he released two films: his first feature film, Ditirambo, and his second feature, El extraño caso del doctor Fausto. The latter was nominated for a Golden Bear at the 1970 Berlin Film Festival. His films have received numerous nominations and awards at film festivals including Cannes, Berlin and San Sebastián and at the Goya Awards.
