Gilles Lellouche

Gilles LELLOUCHE (1972, France) is a French filmmaker and actor. His directorial debut was Narco (2004), a dark comedy in which he also collaborated with Guillaume Canet. In 2012, he co-directed The Players, a comedy anthology that explored themes of male infidelity. His first solo directorial success was Sink or Swim (2018), which was critically acclaimed and celebrated at the César Awards. Lellouche’s directorial prowess reached new heights in 2024 with Beating Hearts, a deeply emotional love story boasting a star-studded cast including François Civil, Adèle Exarchopoulos and Alain Chabat. The film was selected for the Official Competition at Cannes Film Festival. Through his works, he has demonstrated a remarkable ability to balance humor, emotion and human complexity in storytelling.
