Dominik Graf

Although born into a family of actors, the young Dominik GRAF (1952, Germany) was more interested in literature and music. He attended the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen in Munich. In recent decades, he has developed a multi-faceted oeuvre that, alongside films, includes a lot of TV work, for example on the series Tatort. He has also received international recognition for his films, including Spieler (1990), which was nominated for a Golden Lion, and Die geliebten Schwestern (2014), which was nominated for a Golden Bear and selected as the German entry for the Academy Awards. His work was the subject of a retrospective at IFFR 2013. Am Abend aller Tage (2017) earned him his 13th nomination for the Adolf Grimme Award, of which he has won ten. In 2021, Fabian oder Der Gang vor die Hunde premiered at the Berlinale.
