Dionne Edwards
Dionne EDWARDS (UK) is a filmmaker, screenwriter and co-founder of Teng Teng Films, which has produced her short films. She studied film and television at the University of Westminster. Edwards was part of the BFI Flare LGBT Filmmakers’ Mentorship, for which she received guidance from Desiree Akhavan for her short film, We Love Moses (2016). The film won British/Irish Short Film of the Year at London Critics Circle Film Awards in 2018. Edwards also worked on That Girl, part of a Channel 4 mini-series, and was an assistant director for episodes of the Netflix TV series, Top Boy. Pretty Red Dress (2022) is her debut feature film and was selected for IFFR 2023.
