Diao Yi’nan

DIAO Yi’nan (1969, China) graduated from the Central Academy of Drama in 1992 and started his career as a stage writer. He went on writing scripts for films and television series, and also occasionally starred in films himself. Diao’s feature debut Uniform (2003) was screened during IFFR 2004 and his third feature Black Coal, Thin Ice (2014) won the Golden Bear for Best Film at the Berlin International Film Festival.
