Devon DELMAR and Jason JACOBS work together on various projects under the collective KRAAL, a South African production company rooted in the Kamiesberg region of South Africa. Their productions reflect a strong connection to local culture and the natural world, integrating themes of consciousness and the non-human in their narratives. The duo’s acclaimed projects include the feature film Carissa, which was an official selection in the Orizzonti section of the 81st Venice International Film Festival, premiering in September 2025. Their work has gained international recognition, including winning the La Biennale Prize for Best Film in the 2023 Venice Final Cut programme. They were at CineMart in 2022 for Carissa.
