Darren Aronofsky

Darren ARONOFSKY (1969, USA) is a film director, producer, and screenwriter from Brooklyn. He’s also a notable graduate of Harvard University and the American Film Institute. With his partner Eric Watson, he founded the film production company Protozoa Pictures in 1998. His breakthrough with Pi (1998) was followed by Oscar nominations for Requiem for a Dream (2000), The Wrestler (2008), and Black Swan (2011). Aronofsky’s The Whale (2022) was nominated for the Golden Lion award at the Venice Film festival 2022.
