Daniel Hoesl
Daniel HOESL (1982, Austria) studied in Salzburg, Vienna and at FAMU in Prague. After working in the arts for a while, he began working for filmmakers such as Ulrich SEIDL (on hisParadise trilogy) and Michael GLAWOGGER. Hoesl is interested in radical concepts, in a narrative and aesthetic way. He is founder of the production company/film collective A European Film Conspiracy, with which he made his feature debut, Soldate Jeanette (2013). His feature WiNWiN was made in 2016. The documentary Davos (2020) won a Romy award for the best cinema documentary in 2021 and is a co-directorship with Julia Niemann. The latter also contributed in Veni Vidi Vici (2024), official IFFR 2024 selection.
