Daniel Hoesl

Daniel HOESL (1982, Austria) found his way to cinema through Gilles Deleuze’s philosophical books on the subject. His early influences can be found in the works of Alain Resnais, Marguerite Duras and Alain Robbe-Grillet. UN GRAN CASINO (2024) is a very personal film for the director, a film like his own brain, this chirping machine. Torn between apocalypse and revolution, a spiral of thought in a time when nothing seems possible except apocalypse or revolution. Rien ne va plus?
