Chheangkea

Chheangkea (Cambodia) is a Cambodia-born filmmaker based in New York. He is in his thesis year as a Dean’s fellow in the NYU Tisch graduate film programme. He is also a 2023-24 fellow for the Marcie Bloom Fellowship in Film. His short film Skin Can Breathe (2022) was a finalist in the HBO Max APA Visionaries competition and was distributed by Max. Chheangkea is developing his feature film chronicling two decades of a Cambodian woman’s life. Grandma Nai who Played with Favorites is his newest short film.
