Chang Tso-chi
Renowned director CHANG Tso-chi (1961, Taiwan) studied film and drama at the Chinese Culture University and worked as assistant director for Hou Hsiao-hsien, who is a visible influence on his work. In 1993 he founded his own production company in Taipei. His feature Ah Chung was selected for the Tiger Awards Competition in 1997. His movies, like The Best of Times, When Love Comes and Thanatos, Drunk, were selected for international film festivals like Cannes, Venice and Berlin. Synapses was the opening film of the Taiwanese Golden Horse Film Festival.
