Carlos Matienzo Serment
Carlos MATIENZO SERMENT (1986, Mexico) is a filmmaker from San Luis Potosí. He graduated from the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí in 2009. In 2013, he founded Strobe Films and began working as a director, producer and screenwriter for commercials and digital content. He started directing short films in 2016, developing a strong interest in thriller, horror and environmentally driven narratives. His work spans independent short films and genre-focused projects. His feature TEKENCHU: THE RITE OF THE NAHUALES (2026) marks a new stage in his filmmaking practice.
