Basim Magdy
Basim MAGDY (1977, Egypt) studied Fine Arts at Helwan University, Cairo from 1996 to 2000. He says himself that his environment has shaped him more than his education did. In his work, he combines various forms of art, such as paintings, installations, animation and sculptures and explores the space between reality and fiction. In 2016, he was Deutsche Bank’s ‘Artist of the Year’.
