Antoinette Jadaone

Antoinette JADAONE (1984, Philippines) is an award-winning filmmaker who is a household name in both the arthouse and mainstream film industry of the Philippines. Her debut feature, Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay (2011), has been shown at several international film festivals, including Busan, and it was awarded Best Screenplay at Cinema One Originals Film Festival. That Thing Called Tadhana (2014) turned out to be one of the highest-grossing independent films in Philippine cinema history. It was invited to big genre festivals like Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival. She considers Fan Girl (2020) “a way of paying homage to and extending her critique of Philippine cinema, both as an industry and a home”.
