Antón Álvarez

Antón ÁLVAREZ (1990, Spain), better known as C.TANGANA in his musical career, is a non-conformist artist, composer, producer and entrepreneur whose third album El Madrileño (Sony, February 2021) marked his confirmation as one of the most innovative and inventive artists of today’s music scene. Since this album’s release he has received widespread praise and won three Latin Grammy Awards. In the documentary directed and produced by Little Spain This Excessive Ambition (which follows C.Tangana’s trajectory over the past few years), he clearly expressed his desire to direct films. What was not clear then was that he had already embarked on the production of his first feature, La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés, while he directing the musical piece Oliveira Dos Cen Anos, an anthem he composed himself to commemorate the centenary of the Real Club Celta de Vigo. The piece was globally acclaimed and awarded three Golden Lions in the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
