Angela Christlieb
Filmmaker Angela CHRISTLIEB (1965, Germany) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Berlin under Valie Export and Heinz Emigholz. After moving to New York with the support of an Emerging Artist grant, she began her career as an independent filmmaker. During that time she collaborated with Eve Sussman & the Rufus Corporation New York. Christlieb worked as a writer and freelance editor, as well as a teacher at UdK Berlin and Free University Berlin from 2001 onwards. Her films have been displayed at prestigious film festivals such as the Berlinale. She was awarded the Heiner-Carow-Award (Berlinale) and the Press Jury Award (Message of Man Festival St. Petersburg).
