Ana Katz

Ana KATZ (1975, Argentina) is a filmmaker, writer and actress from Buenos Aires. She was educated at Universidad del Cine, and after making a few short films, she made her feature debut in 2002 with El juego de la silla. It won awards at several international film festivals, including a special jury mention at San Sebastián. Her second feature, Una novia errante (2007), was presented in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes. Besides directing, Katz has many acting roles to her credit, both in film and theatre. Katz often makes dark, tragic comedies filled with awkward humour.
