Alexander David
Actor and filmmaker Alexander DAVID (Portugal) majored in theatre studies at the University of Évora, followed by acting at Lisbon’s Theatre and Film School. He is a renowned actor in Portugal’s independent film scene, working with directors like João Pedro Rodrigues, Gabriel Abrantes, João Botelho and Rita Nunes. His breakthrough performance was in To Die Like a Man, which earned him a nomination for the Young Talent Award at Estoril Film Festival. Primeira idade, selected for IFFR 2023, was his first feature film as a director. Water Hazard (2024) will premiere at IFFR 2024.
