On Saturday 7 February, join us for the screening of two award-winning previous works by filmmakers selected for the first edition of the Displacement Film Fund.
12.00 – 13.30: Wolf and Sheep (IFFR 2017) by Shahrbanoo Sadat Old traditions, customs and stories live on in a small shepherd community in the mountains of Afghanistan. The experiences of the village children – their friendships and enmities, work and play – expose the relations within the community. An honest, loving portrait with a hint of mysticism.
13.45 – 16.00: The Village Next to Paradise (2024) by Mo Harawe A newly formed family confronts challenges while pursuing individual goals and facing the intricacies of modern life, relying on love, trust, and resilience to guide them.
