VPRO Preview 2026: ochtend / middag / avond

Would you like to see a selection of films hand-picked by IFFR and VPRO Cinema? Choose your preferred slot and watch two out of the five festival hits in the morning, afternoon or evening during the VPRO Preview Day.

The VPRO Preview: morning/afternoon/evening takes place on Thursday 29 January and you have three time slots to choose from:

Morning: 10.00 – 14.05
Afternoon: 14.30 – 18.25
Evening: 19.00 – 23.45 

The programme is a shortened version of the VPRO Preview Day, and you can view two out of five films. We’ll screen the opening film twice, once in the morning and again as the final screening of the evening. Want to see the full selection? Visit the VPRO Preview Day on Thursday 29 January in Pathé Schouwburgplein or the VPRO Review Day on Friday 6 February in LantarenVenster. The same programme will be shown on both days.

Nanouk Leopold | Netherlands | 2025 | 103′ | Limelight
Nanouk Leopold serves up a dramatic thriller in which a weary forester tries to lay aside the memory of a traumatic hunting incident from her youth. She seeks salvation in the moss green landscape of southern Ireland, but everything changes when her former boyfriend resurfaces.

Evening:

Kleber Mendonça Filho | Brazil | 2025 | 161′ | Limelight
Kleber Mendonça Filho proves once more that he is one of the most exciting filmmakers working today with The Secret Agent. Set in 1977, this playful political thriller intertwines several narrative lines to build a moving reflection on the personal and collective memories of Brazil’s bloody history.

Tickets for the VPRO Review Day morning/afternoon/evening 2026 are €22 (standard rate) and €16 (youth rate, under 23).
