Join us for a colourful embroidery workshop where you’ll stitch your own version of the iconic IFFR Tiger. During this hands-on session, we’ll explore the basics of embroidery and experiment with a variety of decorative stitches.
The workshop will be led by Octavia van Horik, an embroidery artist from Rotterdam, who will guide you through the process and share her techniques and creative approach.
We’ll start with an introduction to embroidery materials and techniques, making this workshop perfect for beginners, but also enjoyable for anyone with some experience who wants to play with stitches and colour. You’ll learn and practice different decorative stitches such as back stitch, satin stitch, chain stitch, French knots and more, and choose which ones best fit your tiger design.
Throughout the workshop, you’ll be guided step by step while having plenty of space to experiment, mix colours and make your tiger truly your own. This workshop is open to everyone who enjoys crafts, creativity and filling their life with twice as much colour.
All materials are included, so you can simply show up and start stitching.
No prior experience needed, just curiosity and a love for making things by hand!
There are only 15 spots available, so please sign up in time to be sure you have a place! If you cannot come anymore, please send an email to l.mastracchio@IFFR.com.
