Inspired by the painting Self-Portrait with Rifle (1912) by Nasta Rojc, Katarina Zdjelar constructs a meditative piece of film that cinematically connects present and past. Superimposed shots of two women in their domestic spheres convey a temporal connection between Nasta Rojc and contemporary photographer and video artist Ana Opalić. This film allows them to co-exist, to look into each other’s lives and, through their respective gazes, create a space that questions autobiographies and their meaning.
