When an old-time showman loses his connection with the audience, his daughter comes up with something new, based on the latest invention for a spectacle of as yet unseen splendour. A daring mix of live action and animation featuring legendary French director Jean Renoir in a small role. This final directorial effort of set design axiom Rochus Gliese is a perfect embodiment of Weimar era Berlin modernism.
