Alice Guy-Blaché was the first woman who had a substantial career in cinema as a director, producer and writer, chalking up several hundred titles between 1896 (La Fée aux choux) and 1920 (Tarnished Reputations, with co-directors Herbert Blaché and Léonce Perret). One of Raganelli’s earliest journeys into the origins of her art, it is also one of the very first films dedicated to this mercurial spirit!
