As the 54th edition of the festival draws to a close, we invite you to our Closing Night for the world premiere of This City Is a Battlefield in Pathé Schouwburgplein and ‘de Doelen’.
Jakarta, 1946. Isa, a taciturn school teacher working for the resistance, is tasked with carrying out an assassination with the help of Hazil, a charming rebel who finds himself falling for Isa’s wife, Fatimah. An exquisite period thriller that marries sensual romantic drama with propulsive action spectacle.
The official Closing Party kicks off in ‘de Doelen’, right after the screening of the closing film, and of course goes on into the wee hours. Expect a fantastic lineup of DJs to put the cherry on top of a remarkable edition.
