Capturing people’s memories of the Allied bombing of Pantelleria island during World War II and the subsequent making of a propaganda film, the Masbedo duo investigates the thin line separating truth from fabrication. With the participation of the residents of the island, they build a gorgeous audiovisual experience that turns buildings into cinema screens, a compelling narration into a poetic recitation, and dance music into a medium of release.
