Join our festive close to the 50th edition with our closing film Poupelle of Chimney Town: an animated family feature with climate change at its heart, by Hirota Yusuke. The film is part of IFFR 2021’s Harbour lineup.
Official Closing Film IFFR 2021: Poupelle of Chimney Town A cheery garbage monster helps a boy and the townspeople explore the truth behind their oppressive, grey, isolated existence. This gentle, imaginative film from director Hirota Yusuke and Japanese anime Studio 4°C (Tekkonkinkreet, Children of the Sea) combines a pacy, eclectic and philosophical storyline with stunning animation.
The full closing event will comprise of physical screenings in Rotterdam, timed online screenings (which you experience together with other visitors at a specific moment), and a 72-hour on demand availability from 19:30 (CEST) on Sunday 6 June.
