Drag Kids

Stephan (9), Nemis (9), Jason (11) and Bracken (11) are passionate about extravagant, campy clothes and make-up. The three boys perform, often with adult drag queens, as Laddy GaGa, Queen Lactatia and Susan Bee Anthony. Canadian girl Bracken is not a drag queen in the strict sense of the term, but is equally fanatical about OTT outfits and the ins and outs of drag culture.

The film reveals the four's daily lives. Ordinary children in many ways, who have an exceptional hobby and are only truly happy when dressed up and dancing, singing or lip-synching. Their parents support them, but they also encounter conservatives who think what they do is unsuitable for kids. The four from Canada, Spain and the USA meet briefly before performing at Montreal Pride: the perfect place for them and the swapping of wigs, clothes and make-up.
