They think they should be in the golden years of their lives, but for these three old friends in Georgia, these never arrived. One is scraping a living selling paintings to tourists, another has clearly had his day as an actor and the third has just come out of prison. A chance encounter on one of Tbilisi’s popular tourist squares offers a solution. They plan a spontaneous road trip, which the three men hope will change their lives.
Debut by Georgian director Nino Zhvania films these three growly old men with tenderness. The men may be old, but beneath their wrinkles and grey hair they still have an attractive youthfulness. They chat, laugh and sing, get one another into trouble and help each other back out again. For a few days, they take a trip down memory lane. A journey which, they hope, will result in new unforgettable moments.
