This initiatory voyage through the land of 'musique concrète' has two important protagonists as our guides: Bernard Parmegiani and Lionel Marchetti. It's also a history of encounters and transmissions between generations. The film’s ambition is to transform our perception of the sounds of the world and incite us to think of them as music. Sounds surround and shape us even when we don’t pay attention to them. By recording them, we can appropriate them.

Moving the microphone towards a sound source, with all its sensibility, is like listening to the inner movements of one’s body. Composing music with actual sounds from the world allows us to enter an unusual state of consciousness, simply by working on sound. Listening to this type of music also can incite a change in awareness. This is the experience the film aims to transmit, to both initiates and novices, by sketching this playful and very human trajectory.
