After SFX

In his performance After SFX, Jordanian Lawrence Abu Hamdan, who lives in Beirut, investigates our auditory memory using sounds, voices and texts from his library of sound effects objects: the Earwitness Inventory. He makes it clear how we store auditory events in our memories, often in unexpected ways. After SFX is co-produced with Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art, in connection to their exhibition Lawrence Abu Hamdan, a solo exhibition (27 Jan to 28 April 2019).
