This self-portrait of Sondra Perry’s avatar, which failed because of inadequate software, was developed to help relax employees. It does not, however, have Perry’s physical characteristics. What follows is a far-reaching form of self-analysis and investigation of black identity, through exorcism to ignorance of one’s own function and a fade-out in Window’s fatal error mode: the blue screen of death.
