Twice Over

Simon Payne’s Twice Over features layers of re-filmed video, from which the texture and noise of analogue decay, combined with the artist’s authoritative colour mixing, recalls antecedents such as the work of David Hall and Paul Sharits but allows the piece to enter a territory of its own.
