Festa na Boca
In Party at the Boca, Candeias submits a ‘report’ on a lively party thrown on New Year’s Eve, 1976, reflecting the camaraderie among São Paulo’s low-budget filmmaking community. Togerther with A Street Called Triumph (1969-1970) & (1970-1971), this film helped to mythologise the Boca as a vital centre of production while also capturing the distinctive humanity of the place.
