Sin Sai Hong

A blinding documentary about the Sin Sai Hong opera group, the oldest Hokkien opera company in Singapore. In a beautiful way, the film records the souls that have been popular with a broad audience in Singapore for generations. The film also takes a look behind the scenes and shows the exuberant costumes and matching makeup. In order to prepare for the film, the film maker followed the company for a year as an extra.
