Destra o sinistra

Super8 and 16mm multi-projection performance by LABO (Jen Debauche + Sebastien Koeppel + Kika) with live guitar improv by Prairie. The performance is a collective re-interpretation and re-appropriation (through new and re-filming, chemical manipulations, contact printing) of two short films, Destra o sinistra I & II (by Kika and Prairie – Sept. 2007). In these films, a stroll across an imaginary city (Brussels) appears through multi-layered films originally shot on Super8 and inspired by Italo Calvino’s maxim: ‘An invisible landscape is the condition of the visible landscape’ (in Le Città Invisibili). LABO and Prairie revisit it as a dronepunk melodious wandering among drowned skylines, calm transparent volcanic shadows and moving landscapes.
