An intimate portrait of two young night owls in modern Shanghai. Li Wei works in a trance club and lives with her boyfriend. When she bumps into her ex-boyfriend in the street and he doesn't recognize her, she falls into isolation, unable to share her feelings. Verbeek touches on emotions that many young people know: excitement, insecurity, inevitable loneliness.
