Friendship with a dog is the only ray of hope in this gripping, sober story about a life on the fringe. A homeless girl and a stray dog find each other. The girl, whose shaky mental state is only slowly revealed by the actress, lives with admirable courage despite all her setbacks. Until courage alone is no longer enough.
