This movie was shot in 1987. The main theme is the relation between youth culture of the 80s and dissident culture of the 70s. To leave or to stay – that’s the main question around which the plot is whirling.
At a sudden moment in the movie there is a background of telecast: pictures of Marshal Zhukov, Stalin and parts of Buñuels Un chien andalou alternate with each other. This is fabulous – for films by Buñuel could never be shown on the Soviet TV….
