A man and a woman are having a love-affair. All their meetings take place in a convention hotel. Linerboard (the thin paper in between cardboard) is a film about how fragile things need to be properly protected. Jens Jonsson on the maestro: ‘Haneke always trusts his audience in his films to feel or understand the behaviour of his characters without him having to explain it.
