Nagasaki starts with the fact of the motorcycle accident itself on 9 November 1980 and discusses its catastrophic effects with members of the cast and crew. But he also tries to create a new fiction, full of aimless tracking-shots through empty streets and eruptions of hyperbolic violence – only to find it haunted by the aftershocks from the crash. (TR)
