Roel Meelkop has developed an installation that is specifically inspired by the concept of the whole exhibition. In a certain sense it forms a bridge between several of the exhibition's works. It is not so much about producing sounds, words or songs, but rather what we might hear in between - the interval. The installation consists of a wall painting and a very small video screen with sound. Both are visualisations of a human breath, mediated by technology and then interpreted by the artist. The title of the piece, per-sona, can be interpreted quite literally as referring to sound going through something else before reaching us.
