Pestered by a couple of kids, the 10-year-old girl Eleni flees to the only friend who understands her: an old olive tree. The tree seems to welcome Eleni into her own world. We follow Eleni’s unique relationship with her mother, her classmates and a local boy named Petrakis. But it is 1974, and when an invasion threatens, a lot is at stake for Eleni.
