In the high speed train that runs from Geneva to Marseilles, a man and a woman who have nothing in common get to know each other. He is a car salesman, she works in a biological research laboratory. She is going to Marseilles for an important conference, he is returning to Toulouse after having had a car accident while going on holiday. Finally they find themselves in the same hotel room, where they continue watching one another, talking and eventually acting out the state of current relationships between men and women. Genève Marseille was shot in five days, from a script with no scenes or dialogue, with the aim of experimenting with a more open form that sets up a framework allowing for a dialogue and performances that grew out of improvisation.
