A documentary that digs deep into human loneliness and transports the viewer so much that he may think he’s watching a feature. The life and loneliness of Venecijus, the only person who leads us through the film, is communicated so wonderfully that we find it hard to believe he is one of us. A man in the Lithuanian countryside, somewhere his fifties, deserted by his wife and four children, whose only company is a piglet with the unusual name Cesar. Venecijus tries to keep his word: why should he hang himself today if he can do so tomorrow?
