Poetic and economical documentary travelogue about Vietnam. The film is sensitive and impressionist, but also stops to examine the problems of an intercultural approach. How do we look at the other and how do they look at us? The relationships between the watcher and those watched are examined more closely in separate stylised vignettes. The film is both a report on a specific journey and a portrayal of the general desire to go somewhere else.
