Louis is welcomed to an enormous building by the caretaker and one of the inhabitants. His eyes drink in the atmosphere of these rooms with their historic architecture and afterwards, with the other two, he sets to work: they clean up, alter and organise. The three men are linked in an almost philosophical way in their joint activities.
