The theme of loneliness from a classic Chinese poem ‘Poème Lyrique II’ by Chen Qigang is transformed into a surrealist story with associated scenes from the Peking Opera. The film is made up of several layers in which the makers put different periods in painting, Peking and Kunqu Opera in a new context.
